North

North is a work of art that integrates and adorns the Timber Hall, the spiritual center of the Embassy.

Around it spirals the central staircase of the embassy, which is made of black granite. Its exterior cladding is made of copper.

This work features dichroic glass elements inlaid in the floor that reflect the light coming from the glass ceiling. The Wooden Chamber houses a compass, which points north and providies a new orientation landmark for our embassy, located on the former east-west division of the city.

This room, all in wood, serves as a conference room or showroom because of its exceptional acoustics.
